SCIENCE, NOW A POLITICAL FRONTIER AND EXPANDING

SCIENCE, NOW A POLITICAL FRONTIER AND EXPANDING

By:  Jerome Day

Was there any doubt that politics plays a big part in scientific conversation?  No, not really, not since the Great Warming Debate.  The worry approaches when doubt is cast upon scientific consensus.  Science is normally and consistently neutral, for the most part, so the worry arises when science, as evidence-based is the main driver of public policy, and we all know who makes the policy decisions.

Deeper than the policy makers becoming influenced by lobbiests, modern swarm-minded ideas, fakenews, and such is the single thought of the power of one person added to another to another, to form a group with new consensus and  a new direction.  This is easily achieved. People are easily swayed by misstated facts, inflammatory dialogue and our modern social media fakenews and bully-mentality, thus allowing the present science, now a political frontier and expanding to be well within reach and possibly to sway in an entirely detrimental direction. We need new ways to grow foods that are smarter and helps regulate our use of land, water and energy in order to feed the planet and avoid a global food crisis.

The world population is expected to reach 9.7 billion by 2050. China and India, the two largest countries in the world, have populations totaling around one billion. In four years, by 2022, India is predicted to have the largest population in the world, surpassing China. Continue reading SENSORS, ROBOTICS, AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN AGRICULTURE

The metamodern is the era of the individual and the end of the corporate-conglommoes running the global world.  The peer to peer network of the IoT is still in the beginning stages of complete uptake and overtake, but the ability now lives in every industry; especially in the financial industry.  Money is no longer gold or platinum or silver standards, MetaMoney is cryptocurrency, livin P2P because that’s what real digital currency provides. No middle-man conglommo to decide and pressure into their percentages, it’s about peer to peer, and no going back or complaining to anyone.

CARBON DIOXIDE…A MAJOR CONTRIBUTOR TO GLOBAL WARMING. WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT IT?

CARBON DIOXIDE…A MAJOR CONTRIBUTOR TO GLOBAL WARMING.  WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT IT?

In our meta modern era climate change is here because of carbon dioxide…a major contributor to globla warming.  What are you doing about it?  It’s easier than ever before to actively participate in our world, to discover new ways of improving old, distructive ways.  It is absolutely possible to help to change the direction of climate change. In wanting to do so, it is imperative that one researches and inquires and then interact.

Never be complacent. There is no need to “live within” this down-hill change. Fight for the atmosphere.  Disposal or harnessing the carbon for energy.  Pick a side and participate.

Renewables and nuclear no substitute for carbon dioxide disposal, argues leading climate physicist

In a paper published in Nature Climate Change, leading climate physicist Professor Myles Allen, from the Oxford Martin Programme on Resource Stewardship, argues that investment in technologies to capture and dispose of carbon dioxide is vital to stabilise climate, especially at temperatures ‘well below 2 degrees Celsius’, as called for in Paris, and that ‘spare no expense’ approaches to cutting emissions in the short term may even be counterproductive.
