OUR METAMODERN ECONOMY
Our metamodern economy, as with all aspects of metamodernism is being created and based upon the individual. It is the individual who is driving the innovations and the uptake of startups and successful businesses.
The businesses of the new metacapitalism are thriving and burgeoning based upon an individual’s idea, and concept, and of course based upon the value it gives to the consumer. The value is based upon individual needs and balance, rather than a board of governance or directors dictating that which they deem necessary for a group. The individual is in charge of his time and his needs and anything is possible.
Once upon a time, our economy was based upon goods and services, and manufacturing and trade, but in our metacapitalism, our economy is based upon information; global information available at a moment’s click With only a question on one’s mind, and an internet connection, knowledge may be gleaned and gained. This Chainless E-Bike Is ‘A Car With Two Wheels,’ Says Korean Auto Maker
By: Jennifer Hicks – Forbes Contributor – Tech Writer
A Korean automotive parts company, Mando, has created an electric bike, Mando Footloose IM, calling it an electric car with two wheels. The company has been making automative parts since 1962 and has now turned its attention to electric bikes (e-bikes) for “smart personal mobility.”
“In some ways, we are creating a whole new category of personal urban transport,” said TS Lee, Executive Director, Smart Personal Mobility Division, Mando. ”We want to create new ways for people to move around, particularly in urban locations that face a variety of transportation challenges–traffic, pollution, parking, fuel costs, etc. We believe the next generation of transportation solutions will need to rethink how technology works in a car or bike in order to deliver new levels of efficiency and convenience for the consumer.”
LAND AND ROCK ARTIST MICHAEL HEIZER
Rock and roll.
Rock. Paper. Scissors.
Rocks in your head.
Rock your world.
Michael Heizer personifies “Rock Art”.
An original and slightly before his time, a true metamodern artist, in that he uses something old and breathes life into it, in a very metamodern, independent, yet societally appreciated way, artist Heizer has shown and shared an appreciation for nature’s own, rocks. THE HOLOGRAPHIC LIFESTYLE
By: H+ Technology
The Hologram has been here, the holographic lifestyle is here, it is working, and it is available, and is called, Holus, by H+. The only question now, is the holographic lifestyle uptake. Holograms have been within our world for decades, but not as an available technology, people, education, and lifestyle ready…until now. Holographic images have been presented by many companies, yet the company H +, has it’s finger on the pulse of the use. The holographic lifestyle, as we know it, and have seen on countless commercials and films will be within our homes, our working environment and on our persons as wearable technology. The hologram lifestyle is, now.
Holus turns technology and information into an interactive, social experience that brings people together. It converts flat 2D content into a 3D holographic experience.
Holus “unlocks the pixels” and provides a magical blend between the digital and real world. The SDK will be available for developers and will grant them the ability to render holographic objects and develop creative interactive applications.
The Main Thing, is, The Main Thing.
The main this, is, the main thing… We should never lose sight of our purpose, our main thing, the talents we have and how to best utilize our assets for the value of others and ourselves. The main thing is that we find the “main thing” within us. That we are able to decrease the noise and bothersome world and day-to-day distractions which surround us, and turn within ourselves to find and nurture our “main thing”.
Scientists Grow First Bio Rat Limb In Lab
Harald Ott, MD, senior author of the findings and MGH Department of Surgery and the Center for Regenerative Medicine and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, the biological nature of our limbs makes building a functional biological limb replacement a challenge.
“Limbs contain muscles, bone, cartilage, blood vessels, tendons, ligaments and nerves – each of which has to be rebuilt and requires a specific supporting structure called the matrix,” said Ott.
So the key for transplantation is regeneration. The cells must regenerate all of the tissue surrounding the limb, and to do that you need something to build that on so the cells can grow into the right tissues surrounding and supporting that limb. OIL SPILL CLEAN-UP
May 2015 on the west coast of the USA was defined by the Santa Barbara oil spill. Not having a major spill since 1969, it makes a person wonder. Santa Barbara is a city filled with life, energy and innovation. When water appeared scarce, this city rose and built a desalinization plant. When they had a problem with the homeless, they bussed. When they realized they were an extreme tourista destination, they enlarged the freeway. This is a city of action, a city on its toes for the people and for the good of its people. Sun, fun and education riddle this community. Now they are faced with a situation that the locals are saying, “I told you so”. Continue reading SANTA BARBARA OIL SPILL MAY 2015
